What data we process, and why

If you sign up with the “Get notified” form, we store your name and email address, whether you would buy as a private person or as a company, the VAT or tax ID if you give one, whether the software or the recorder interests you, and the languages you work in if you tell us. With these we record the time of your sign-up and of your confirmation, and the version of the consent text.

The purpose: to send you one email when Confiella can be ordered, to make companies a suitable offer, and to learn which languages our visitors work in. We use the data for nothing else, send no newsletter and pass it on to no one.

The legal basis is your consent: Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, for the notification itself, Section 6(1) of Hungarian Act XLVIII of 2008 on commercial advertising. You confirm your consent with the link in our email; without that confirmation we send no notification.

How long we keep it

  • Without confirmation: for 30 days, then it is deleted automatically.
  • After confirmation: until 30 days after the launch notification, and no later than 31 December 2028.
  • If you withdraw your consent: it is deleted at once.

Deleted data may remain in the server's backups (our own encrypted daily backup and the hosting provider's weekly machine backup) until those backups expire, for at most 35 days in the daily backup; we do not restore from them.

Unsubscribing and withdrawing consent

Every email from us contains a link that deletes your data in one click. You can also write to us at [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before it.

Who has access

  • Rackforest Zrt. (Victor Hugo utca 11, 5th floor B05001, 1132 Budapest, Hungary): the operator of the server, in Hungary. It stores the data but has no access to it.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA): serving and protecting the website, and storing the server's encrypted backups (in EU storage). It processes visitors' IP addresses and the technical data of requests; transfers take place under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We encrypt the backups, and Cloudflare cannot read them.

Our own mail server sends the emails; we use no external email service.

Cookies and logs

The site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking code, and loads every file from its own address. The server keeps no access log. We use IP addresses only to protect against abuse (to limit too many requests), in memory, for at most one hour; we do not store them.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, to correct or delete it or restrict its processing, and to give it to you in a machine-readable form. We answer within one month.

You can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian supervisory authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH; 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9., www.naih.hu, [email protected]), or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work, and you can also go to court.
